On July 18th, Sanskriti Engineering College from Hyderabad hosted an enlightening session focused on parenting and teenage issues, involving both first-year B.Tech students and their parents. The session was led by Abhishek Singamsetty, a renowned psychologist, inspirational speaker, career counsellor, and personality development trainer. Mr. Singamsetty’s interactive approach aimed to bridge the gap between parents and teenagers, providing valuable insights and practical strategies for effective communication and understanding.
During the session, Mr. Singamsetty covered three critical topics: parenting challenges, teenage issues, and emotional intelligence. He offered parents guidance on how to better support their teenagers through the tumultuous years of adolescence, emphasizing the importance of empathy and open communication. For the students, he introduced activities and psychological techniques to help them develop emotional intelligence, equipping them with the tools to manage their emotions and relationships more effectively.
The feedback from both parents and students was overwhelmingly positive. Many parents expressed their appreciation for the actionable advice and relatable examples, while students found the focus on emotional intelligence highly relevant and beneficial. Sanskriti Engineering College, Hyderabad, is committed to fostering a supportive environment for both students and parents, recognizing the importance of holistic support in the academic and personal development of its community.
